Eli is an impatient social innovation junkie with over a decade of experience in building and leading social ventures. She recently joined the Business Innovation Factory (BIF) as its Chief Market Maker, where she’ll have an opportunity to attract capital and build partnerships to generate new models for transforming complex social systems. Eli will join BIF following her tenure as Executive Director of the Maine Women’s Fund, a public foundation creating lasting change by investing in the power of women and the dreams of girls in Maine. Eli also serves as an advisor and gender centric design expert to Bazaar Strategies—rolling out emerging market innovations in mobile technology. Before leading the Maine Women’s Fund Eli served as Chief Program Officer at GlobalGiving, the first online philanthropic marketplace that enables donors to find and fund social entrepreneurs around the world. Eli also spent 5 years as the International Director for Ashoka’s Citizen Base Initiative, where she worked with social entrepreneurs from around the world on strategies to finance and scale their work. She also loves her roles as mom, wife, chef, yogi, and runner.
